ALIASES/NAME VARIANTS: Abu Khabab al-Masri

REMARKS: Midhat Mursi al-Sayid ‘Umar, better known as Abu Khabab al-Masri, is an explosives expert and poisons trainer working on behalf of al-Qa‘ida.

WANTED: Should be considered armed and dangerous. He operated a terrorist training camp at Derunta, Afghanistan, where he provided hundreds of mujahidin with hands-on training in the use of poisons and explosives. Since 1999, he has distributed training manuals that contain instructions for making chemical and biological weapons. Some of these training manuals were recovered by US forces in Afghanistan.

REWARD: The Rewards for Justice program, US Department of State, is offering up to $5 million for information leading directly to the apprehension and/or conviction of Abu Khabab al-Masri.
